Belgian runners reach the final in Venice
Today the qualification race of the Park World Tour 2008 took place. In H21elite class, the Swiss runner Matthias Muller ran the best time. Our Belgian top runner Fabien Pasquasy ran a good race, he became 7th, only 52 seconds slower than the winner.
Only the best 10 runners are qualified for the final and surprisingly an other Belgian runner reached the finals. Tom Herremans became 20th, but 10 runners with a wild card (like Fabien) were faster than him. So it was very close, but he'll be present with an early starttime tomorrow in the final. For your information: Tom Herremans is the only Belgian runner who scored PWT-points. In 2001, when the PWT was very popular among the toprunners because of the prizemoney, he scored 1 point. Yuri Omeltchenko is still the king in this competition (PWT-ranking)
In D21elite class Marie Destree was very close to the final. She became 26th, and the 25th (Karin Berggren) was still qualified.
