Transforestière

Last weekend, it was time for the 18th Transforestière. The Transforestère is a long distance race over two days. In this raid you have to take your own needs in a backpack, except your tent, wich is taken by the organisation. The organisation also offers a compact dinner and breakfast. The are two competition, two walking and one MTB class.

In the short race, the young team Hofmans - Spilliers was outstanding. They won both days, and were 25 minutes faster then team Franchimont - Borlee. This team was very strong the second day. Number 2 (Fortems-Dhondt) and 3 (Melis-Meynen) of the first day, lost quite some time the second day and ended up in third and forth spot.

Team Van Gasse - Vis were the strongest in the long race. Both days they managed to make a gap of more then 10 minutes. Team Meeuwssens-Laenen did two stabile races wich resulted in a nice second place. The third spot was for team van der Kleij - van der Kleij.
