Belgian champs mountain running
Yesterday the Belgian champs mountain running took place in Malmedy. The weather was nice, the sun made race even more tough. Sven Nijs (always performing strong in tough cross races) won this competition. He ran 2 laps from 5.5km each (including 500m climbing each lap) in 51'37. Two orienteering runners completed the podium. Fabien Pasquasy finished in 2nd position and Pieter Hendrickx became 3rd. Also Michel Bastin and Thomas van der Kleij were in the top10.

Op de sportpagina's van "Het Nieuwsblad" edtitie Kempen is bijna een volledige bladzijde aan Pieter Hendrickx en zijn bergloopprestaties gewijd. En er bovenop zelfs een aparte rubriek over zijn verwachtingen op het WK oriëntatielopen in Noorwegen waar hij precies alleen voor het sprintkampioenschap zal gaan. En verder ook nog wat voetbalnieuws en verkiezingsnieuws.
