The first part of the course was on the main map, but after the spectator control (23), you had to switch to a smaller part of the map (still the same scale).
The spectator control wasn't drawn on that small part and Jochen (and many more runners!) just took their direction from the next control (24) to control 25. He got lost because of that, and when he could relocate himself, he continued to control 25, skipping 24.
Although there was a line coming from the spectator control to 24, it was pretty hard to see it while running. There should have been a new starting triangle. Lots of teams lost time there.
The organization wasn't that good, really minimal, with the men and women categories sharing lots of controls and legs. For example, in the sprint event, there were only 16 controls, and 3 of them were outside of the forest. It's quite a surprise that the relay was the only event where things went wrong.
All this without mentioning my own results. It's been a long time since I ran that bad 3 times in a row...
